Hangout OS
Build a Los Angeles shortlist from five choices.
Head developer: Jason Abeleda
What it does
Choose an area, group, budget, vibe, and time. Hangout OS ranks a curated catalog and presents three lead plans: Best fit, Closest / easiest, and Best value. Data is not live; confirm estimated costs and availability before going.
The problem
A plan can fit the budget and still be wrong for the group, area, vibe, or time. Checking every option against those factors takes time.
How it works
Hard eligibility rules precede deterministic ranking. Main results stay within the selected budget; over-budget options and check-first events are shown separately.
Technical notes
- Curated place and activity catalog with reviewed sources
- Budget-aware eligibility and fixed ranking
- Estimated costs and availability guidance
- Browser app without an account or cloud database
